The 5kV / 8kV HVTECK is a CSA armored cable designed for industrial and commercial medium voltage applications. Rated FT4 and suitable for -40°C and Hazardous Locations (HL). It can operate continuously at temperatures up to 105°C for normal use, 140°C for emergencies, and 250°C for short circuits. Rated for 1000 lbs/FT maximum sidewall pressure. These cables offer resistance to sunlight, moisture, corona, most chemical soils and acids, and are flame retardant.
- Copper Conductor: Class B, Stranded, Bare, Compressed (ASTM B3, B8)
- Conductor Shield: Semi-conducting, Cross-linked Copolymer
- Insulation: 115 Mils, No Lead Ethylene Propylene Rubber (NL-EPR)
- Insulation Shield: Strippable, Semi-conducting, Cross-linked Copolymer
- Copper Tape Shield: 5 Mil, Helically Wrapped, 25% Overlap
- Inner Jacket: PVC
- Armour: Aluminum, Interlocked (AIA)
